The West is the Best!
Bronte West is such a fascinating community. Bronte West is transitioning at lightning speed. With new build custom homes popping up on every street. Bronte West is such a coveted location because of it’s larger lots and proximity to not only Downtown Oakville, and Bronte Village, but also Appleby College and of course easy access to the QEW. The quality of life in this neighbourhood is remarkable, filled with excellent restaurants, shops, parks, schools, and sports facilities. Building lots in Bronte West range from about $900,000 for 60ft x120ft lots to $1,200,000 for 75ft x150ft lots. Ready to move in custom homes in Bronte West range from about $1,800,000 to $2,700,000 (not including lakefront properties which start at about $3,000,000 and go up from there).
Things to do in Bronte West
Fitness, shopping, and dining
Living in Bronte West is filled with many possibilities every day. I usually start off walking my dog up and down the Donovan Baily Trail which stretches from Bronte Rd and Speers Rd and winds its way through the neighbourhood of detached homes all the way down to Lakeshore Rd, and if its on a weekend we can usually catch some of the football games that are normally played down by Lakeshore. Walking my dog is always a great warm up before I go to the gym at the Queen Elizabeth Park Recreation and Community Centre (which by the way is a wonderful place for people of all ages to practice all types of hobbies like visual arts, musical instruments, wood working, volleyball, basketball, indoor swimming, and much more). By this time, its usually time to start selling some houses. :). When it’s time to go out for dinner, there seems to be endless cornucopia of choices including Taste Marketeria http://tastemarketeria.ca, Plank Restobar http://plankrestobar.ca, Yolanda’shttp://yolandasspuntinocasa.com, Cucci http://cucci.ca,and Tavolo http://tavolo.ca , just to name a few. Shopping centres are all along Speers Rd, packed with all kinds of home improvement specialty stores, furniture stores, flooring stores, car dealers, car washes, bicycle stores, doctor’s offices, etc. There are many stores and shops along Lakeshore Rd as well including one of my favourites : Denninger’s ( a european deli/specialty food store), more bicycle stores, doctor’s offices, grocery stores (Sobey’s), and of course the Firehall sports bar (great chicken wings among other things). There is also a smattering of big box stores up by Burloak and the QEW including movie theatres (and VIP section with the big comfy chairs and LLBO), Milestones, Swiss Chalet, Montana’s, Kelsey’s, Structube, Lindt Chocolate, Nike Outlet, Urban Barn, Longo’s, Home Depot, Venere Hair Salon, just to name a few, I’m really just scratching the surface here.
