Hidden Oakville Gem Neighbourhood

Clearview is the most easterly nieghborhood Oakville has to offer, so of course because of that the travel time for commuting into Mississauga, Etobicoke, and the parts of Toronto is significantly less than western parts of Oakville. Since Oakville has grown so much in population the travel time from west to east is becoming more and more, so living in the east gives you a big head start on your race to Downtown Toronto. Looking at the other nieghbourhoods located in East Oakville, you have Joshua Creek, Ford, and Morrison, out of which Clearview is still the most convenient location out of all of these for commuting, and currently the most affordable nieghbourhood out of all the east Oakville neighbourhoods. Clearview is the least expensive option to getting your kids into Oakville Trafalgar High School, which is easily the most coveted public high school in Oakville.

Keeping your kids busy in Clearview

There is no shortage of school options in Oakville and Clearview is no exception. Since private schools have no boundaries we have left them out of this report. Clearview is the least expensive neighbourhood in the Oakville Trafalgar High School catchment. James W. Hill from JK-Gr 8 http://jwh.hdsb.ca, and Oakville Traflgar High School from Gr 9 – 12 https://sites.google.com/site/oakvilletrafalgarhighschool1/. Please log on to http://hdsb.ca and select “Schools” then enter whatever address you like and you will be able to see what school catchment the address would fall into. If you are interested in having your children attend Catholic schools they would be St Luke https://elem.hcdsb.org/stluke from JK – Gr 8 regular track or St Mary https://elem.hcdsb.org/stmary/ Grades 1-8 French Immersion, while St Thomas Aquinas Catholic Secondary School will accommodate both regular track and French Immersion http://sta.hcdsb.org. You can also log onto the Catholic School Board to find which schools match up with the address of your choice http://hcdsb.org.

When the bell rings at 3pm and every parent thinks “Wow, 3pm already? How will I keep my kid(s) busy for the rest of the day?”

Don’t worry, this is Oakville, since there are so many schools here and the average household income is quite high in comparison to many other towns or cities, you can be assured that there is no shortage of businesses that cater to families in many industries. There are indoor playgrounds for rainy days, there are sports organizations from soccer, hockey, dance, gymnastics, martial arts, music, community centres, etc. Check out http://www.oakville.ca/culturerec/index.html for fun things to do with the whole family year round in Oakville. One really cool thing about the community centre memberships is that one membership at one of the locations gives you access to all of the community centres and all of the arenas, so pleasure skating and shinny hockey is also included in the membership fee.
