College Park Real Estate
The new up and coming Oakville neighbourhood.
College Park, true to it’s name is the home of Sheridan College https://www.sheridancollege.ca and with that there is some affordable student housing surrounding the college, such as older high rise apartment buildings and some newer low rise condo buildings and town homes starting at circa $400,000 and up. The area is dominated by real estate that is becoming more and more coveted. While real estate south of the QEW is becoming more difficult to find under $1,000,000 for a building lot, College Park still offers some interesting options starting at around the $800,000 mark and the area is seeing some transition now. College Park is very close to the QEW, and Oakville Place http://oakvilleplace.com and the many stores and shopping plazas along Trafalgar, not to mention my favourite steak house of all time,…..The Keg http://Kegsteakhouse.com.
Schools and sports organizations in College Park
There is no shortage of school options in Oakville and College Park is no exception. Since private schools have no boundaries we have left them out of this report. College Park has two high schools, White Oaks Secondary School http://www.wossweb.com and Holy Trinity Catholic Secondary School http://www.holytrinityoakville.ca There are 4 elementary schools in College Park including Montclair Public School http://mon.hdsb.ca, Sunningdale Public School http://sun.hdsb.ca, St. Michael Catholic Elementary School http://elem.hcdsb.org/stmichael/, and St. Andrew Catholic Elementary School http://elem.hcdsb.org/standrew/ . Please log on to http://hdsb.ca and select “Schools” then enter whatever address you like and you will be able to see what school catchment the address would fall into. You can also log onto the Catholic School Board to find which schools match up with the address of your choice http://hcdsb.org.
When the bell rings at 3pm and every parent thinks “Wow, 3pm already? How will I keep my kid(s) busy for the rest of the day?”
Don’t worry, this is Oakville, since there are so many schools here and the average household income is quite high in comparison to many other towns or cities, you can be assured that there is no shortage of businesses that cater to families in many industries. There are indoor playgrounds for rainy days, there are sports organizations from soccer, hockey, dance, gymnastics, martial arts, music, community centres, etc.
